Re-Birth

The shipyards at Alang recycle approximately half of all ships salvaged around the world. The yards are located on the Gulf of Khambat, 50 kilometers southeast of Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. Apart from all environment issues, people make income by dismantling and recycling each and every part of the ship.
This project shows the recycling materials extracted from the ships which is being dismantled at Alang. A close view of the materials which kept inside the shops near the Ship recycling yard is fascinated in terms of its volume and its wide range of variety goods from all over the world. All the materials from small nails to big massive engines being recycle here. The process of recycling is like a re-born of those objects.
